According to a May article in Forbes online, one big problem is solving the shortage of skilled manufacturing labor needed in order to replace retiring workers and allow companies to grow over the next 10 years.
This is highlighted even farther by a study conducted by Deloitte and The Manufacturing Institute that found companies will have to replace approximately 22% of its workforce because of retirements. This means manufacturers with 1,000 employees are looking at replacing more than 200 of those workers in the next 10 years.
